Meet Our Staff

Jonathan Shadis

Owner/Service Advisor

Jonathan has been in the automotive field for 19 years, starting as a technician, and then transitioned to Customer Service Advisor. He currently serves as the president of the ATRA Gulf States Chapter and has successfully passed BOTH his C1 Service Consultant: Automobile Service Consultant Certification, through (ASE) Automotive Service Excellence and his Chassis Technician Certification through (ATRA) The Automatic Transmission Rebuilders Association. Being a vehicle enthusiast and tinkering with vehicles has been something he has enjoyed since he was a young boy. Jonathan’s past experience in hospitality and current knowledge in the automotive field ensures a pleasant and smooth experience for Advanced Transmission customers. His warm smile and love for life is a comfort to customers in an otherwise complex, no fun experience with transmission repair. In his spare time, he enjoys the company of family and friends and shooting sports. Jonathan is happily married and is enjoying life as a father to his young son, vowing to take advantage of every opportunity to become a better father and husband.

Crystal Shadis

Owner/Office Manager

Crystal graduated from Baldwin County High School in 2003. She then attended Faulkner Community College on a fully paid Presidential scholarship. She graduated with an associate degree in applied science in dental. Before joining the Advanced Transmission team, she worked in the dental field for 16 years. After 5 years, she was promoted to lead lab technician and managed the daily operations. For the past 5 years Crystal has been studying business and plans to pursue a bachelor’s degree in business. Crystal was born and raised in the small town of Stapleton. As a young girl she enjoyed tinkering with anything she and her dad, Stanley Lowery, could get their hands on. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, and mud riding on the weekends. She also enjoyed learning everything her grandparents could teach her from gardening with her grandfather, Curtis Boyington, to homemaking, with Grandmother Georgia Boyington. Crystal enjoys reading, gardening, and spending as much time as she can with her husband Jonathan, and her son Anthony.

Allison Carter

Administrative Assistant

Allison is Advanced Transmission’s Administrative Assistant wearing many hats. She ensures the efficient operations of the office and accuracy through her attention to detail, maintaining social media, customer retention and satisfaction by effectively communicating via phone, text and email in a sincere caring manner. Allison brings with her over 30 years’ experience as a legal/administrative assistant. She has been happily married for 27 years and has two amazing children. In her time away from the office, she loves walking, cycling, Pilates and spending time with her family.

Dilion Hudson

Master Technician

Dilion started his career at Advanced Transmission as an Apprentice Technician. It did not take long to realize Dilion would not be in that position for any length of time. Dilion has worked as a Chassis Technician, Diagnostician, and now a Rebuilder. Dilion recently became certified as a Master Technician, being the only employee ever to hold this certification. Master Technician Certification is the highest level of certification ATRA offers, including all three specialty certifications and the additional tests required for the Master Certification. Dilion has loved working on vehicles since he was just a toddler with his dad – mainly “holding the flashlight.” Dilion graduated from Baldwin County High School and attended North Baldwin Center for Technology in Automotive at the top of his class. Dilion came to Advanced Transmission upon high recommendation from his instructor at North Baldwin. While still in high school, he passed all 9 of the ASE tests offered. He started working a summer job at 16 years old rebuilding marine diesel engines, and after school, he worked each day at a facility doing engine swaps. Dilion remembers passing by Advanced Transmission as a child and always wanted to work here one day. Even though he has helped his dad work on many different aspects of a vehicle, they never worked on rebuilding transmissions and Dilion wanted to learn something new. In his spare time, Dilion loves hunting, fishing and anything to do with the outdoors.

Alex Rodriguez

Chassis Technician

Alex Rodriguez joins the Advanced Transmission Team as a Chassis Technician. Alex is a graduate of Spanish Fort High School and attended North Baldwin Center for Technology in Automotive. Alex is working toward his certifications as an ASE/ATRA certified technician. Alex is eager to learn more in the specialty field of transmission repair and service. He enjoys fishing, art and family activities in his spare time.
